Loam Agency
Employee-Owned
LGBTQ+ Inclusive
Majority Women-Owned

Built for clients, not boards.

Every agency we came from talked about client success. Every real decision got made for someone who wasn't in the room.

We started Loam because we were tired of watching boards win and clients lose. So we built the agency we wished we'd been hired by.

The Short Version

1

What We Saw

Every agency we came from talked about client success in every pitch deck, then made every real decision for a board or a private equity owner who never met the client.

2

What It Cost

Scope got padded to hit utilization numbers. Junior staff got put on accounts they weren't ready for because it was cheaper. Work that wasn't actually in the client's interest shipped anyway, because someone upstream needed the quarter to look a certain way.

3

What We Decided

None of that is a secret in this industry. Most people in it have some version of this story. We just decided to stop being part of it.

What We Actually Lead With

Not values on a wall. These are the things that actually shape how we work and who we take on as clients.

Client interest over shareholder interest

There's no board and no private equity owner deciding what's best for you. If the honest answer is "don't spend the money," that's what we'll say.

Mental health: yours and ours

We don't staff projects in a way that burns out our team, and we won't sell you a timeline that burns out yours. A sustainable pace produces better work than a heroic one.

Equality on the internet

Accessibility and inclusive design aren't a feature we upsell. They're the default, because the internet should work for everyone using it, not just the easiest 80% to design for.

Safety and respect, genuinely

Real data privacy, honest security practices, and treating everyone (clients, our team, the people who end up using what we build) like people, not line items.

Owned by the people who do the work.

Employee-owned

The people doing the work own the company, so no shareholder decides your project.

Majority women-owned

Most of Loam is owned by women, not by outside investors or a holding company.

LGBTQ+ inclusive

A team and a workplace where everyone can be themselves, at work and with clients.

What That Looks Like in Practice

Truth First
We tell clients what's true before we tell them what they want to hear.
No Padding
We turn down work that isn't a good fit instead of taking it and stretching the invoice.
One Standard
Every decision gets measured against one question: is this good for the people actually affected, not the people furthest from the work.

Tell us about your project. We'll tell you how we'd approach it.
